About Us

ADIRSO is an Independent and non profit making group, purely Educational and totally non Political. It has no axe to grind other than Road Safety and Education.

The meetings are informal by nature and after the presentation there is almost always a Q&A session which, if we are not careful could go on all night when some of the members get going!

The tendency nowadays is to look to a more interactive type of presentation, possibly with a workshop taking place afterwards.

There are plans for more workshop evenings in the future if the members so wish.

Tyre Safety.

Above is a photo showing the original Tyre Presentation given by its creator Ray Webb DTE DSA (in the jacket ) and Adrian Slater DTQAM DSA.

This presentation was immensely popular with about 70+ in attendance .This has since been seen by other groups around London and is available to more if they so wish (send us an email for details.)

The subject has also been seen at an Edinburgh Association,in Kent,Surrey,Stirling and Leeds and used in College Presentations as far south as Hastings. The list is ever expanding.

Previous Meetings.

In the past we have had guest speakers from the DSA, including the current CEO.Rosemary Thew and her two predecessors Bernard Hedran and Gary Austin. Trevor Wedge has been a guest speaker as has Nigel Harries and Andy Rice of the Fraud & Integrity Team.

If you just want to come to one of the meetings, for one speaker, fine. Please feel free to do so,the entrance fee is currently £5.00 to non members but to members it is FREE.

Tea and coffee facilities are provided for all but I am afraid you will have to bring your own bickkies.

Where the meetings are held at the Haringey Irish Centre in N.London N17 8DX there is ample parking ,about 110 spaces. Think of the environment bring a friend and share a car.

At ADIRSO we don't just have the DSA speaking to the members .There has also been eDriving Solutions, local Traffic Police, Transport for London with their ISA cars, MSA and many others including regular First on Scene presentations for First Aid guidance every couple of years.
